Historique :	Cette châsse passe pour avoir été offerte par François de Lorraine (décédée en 1669), épouse de César, duc de Vendôme, seigneur d'Anet (décédé en 1665), pour contenir les reliques de saint Lain (ou lathuin), premier évêque de Séez.

Précision sur_l'état :	Les huit statuettes ont été signalées manquantes en décembre 1974.
Précision_sur la representation :	Edicule entouré de colonnettes ioniques et de niches ornées de statuettes figurant les douze apôtres (inspirés des statues de la chapelle du château), saint François d'Assise, et le groupe de saint Cyr et sainte Julitte (patrons de l'église). Sur le toit semi-cylindrique, un clocheton abrite la statuette de saint Lain. Aux extémités du couvercle, les armoiries des donateurs, grattées. On distingue d'un côté une couronne à fleurs de lys et les Ordres du Roi (César de Vendôme reçut l'Ordre du Saint-Esprit en 1619) ; de l'autre, une même couronne, l'écu étant simplement posé sur un cartouche et des palmes.
