Historique :	Il s'agit d'une effigie en cire de saint Gourgon présentée dans une châsse en bois peint sans doute du XIXe ou du XXe siècle. Cette cire ancienne, probablement du XVIIe s., de bonne composition, est décorée de textiles sans doute du XIXe siècle. Saint Gourgon est représenté comme un général avec casque et épée. Cette sculpture est à mettre en relation avec la confrérie de Saint-Gourgon créée le 25 septembre 1656 (source Arch. dep.). Bien qu'elle soit encrassée et qu'un pied soit brisé, la sculpture est dans un bon état de conservation. Les cires antérieures à la Révolution sont rares.
