Historique :	René Chevrier, sieur de Champseru est mort en 1599. La dalle fut remise au jour en 1887, elle était enfouie sous un massif de pierre et de maçonnerie près de l'ancien maître-autel de l'église. la famille Chevrier au 16e siècle un rang honorable dans la bourgeoisie de Gallardon. René Chevrier veuf en premières noces de Louise Le beau, épousa Michelle Michelle Rotier vers 1586. Huit enfants naquirent de ces deux unions dont trois semblent lui avoir survécus. Veuve en 1599, Michelle épousa en secondes noces Symphorien Debeste en 1603. L'épitaphe de Michelle est restée inachvée, ses restes sembleraient ne pas avoir été réunis à ceux de Chevrier et ne sont également pas mentionnés sur l'inscription funéraire de Debaste décédé en 1649.
