Historique :	Antoine Jaret exerçait les fonctions de sergent Royal, il est mort en 1587. Antoine Jaret et son épouse étaient originaires de Gallardon, où de nombreux membres de leur famille habitaient encore à la fin du 17e siècle. Il épousa Catherine Vilain en 1582. Deux enfants de leur union sont connus par leurs inscriptions sur les registres paroissiaux. L'épitaphe de jaret et de son épouse fut installée dans l'église de Gallardon vraisemblablement que dans le tout début du 17e siècle.
