Historique :	Ces deux hauts-reliefs décoraient la clôture de choeur monumentale placée en 1769 dans la cathédrale Notre-Dame de Chartres pour fermer le choeur après la destruction du jubé du 13e siècle ; elle fut supprimée en 1866 lors des travaux de remplacement du jubé entrepris par l'architecte Victor Louis. Les Vertues réintégrent la cathédrale en 2007.
